Angie was six months old on a cold, rainy April morning in a crowded apartment neighborhood when she met a lady waiting for the moving van to take her to her new job in New York. Unable to leave the skinny, sad little girl who didn?t seem to belong anywhere, the lady?s desperate phone call connected her with a Magicats volunteer who immediately made room for the kitten and named her Angie, after her rescuer. Time in a safe haven with good food and cuddles helped, but she was very thin. She was newly pregnant and had a significant heart murmur. A thorough wellness exam, immunizations, and surgery helped a bunch and a negative FIV/FELV test reassured us about her general health. Over the past 5 months, she?s gained appropriate weight and is a pleasant, high energy girl who loves her new foster family. Our team of pet cardiologists report that the murmur is ?significant,? and not one she will outgrow. However, as an INSIDE ONLY kitty, in a family that helps her maintain a healthy weight, has a routine of regular vet care, pays attention to diet so she doesn?t develop a weight problem, regular immunizations, and regular vet checks, she has a good chance for a happy life. Magicats seeks a private adoption for this happy, courageous young lady.
